Arizona tribe opens Verde Valley’s first six story tall hotel.

The Yavapai-Apache Nation celebrated the grand opening of its newly developed $30 million Cliff Castle Casino Hotel on Friday. Located along I-17 in the Verde Valley, the hotel development project broke ground in January 2016.

The new six-story 122-room hotel includes 14 suites, an entertainment facility and 5,000 square feet of meeting space, an indoor pool, a new retail outlet, a new coffee shop and a 300 space parking garage.

The new luxury boutique hotel tower is non-smoking and situated at the south end of what is an important gambling destination for north and central Arizona.

Danny Gutierrez, General Manager for Cliff Castle Casino Hotel said, “The opening of the new hotel reflects the successful business model of Cliff Castle Casino. Our goal in developing the new property has been to enhance our guests experience and provide quality services and amenities,” according to the press release from Cliff Castle Casino.

Rooms will be available from March 1, and feature a host of luxury amenities.

Chairwoman Jane Russell-Winiecki of the Yavapai-Apache Nation, said, “As a Tribe and community, we are excited to host a grand opening event for the newly developed Cliff Castle Casino Hotel. This project commemorates another economic development milestone for the Yavapai-Apache Nation. We are very proud of this development and welcome the community to join us in celebrating this accomplishment.”

Tribally-owned and established in 1995, the casino features slot and video poker machines, including a High Limit Slots area and new non-smoking area, a poker room and both electronic and live table games.

In addition to all of the gaming options, the venue also features four dining options, two bars and a nightclub, a 20-lane bowli 7BALL ng center, an arcade and Kids Quest supervised child care. Other amenities include the Stargazer Pavilion, an open-air theater, and a gift shop.

Located just down the hill from the casino, off the street at Montezuma Castle Highway, Cliff Castle Casino’s original hotel, is now an 80-room lodge experience.
