Resorts Casino Hotel set to open sports book tomorrow

Pending regulatory approval, the Resorts Casino Hotel will be opening their land-based sports book tomorrow morning. Set for an 11 a.m. opening, the Resorts Sports Book will have a ribbon cutting presented by President Mark Giannantonio.

Preparing for Service:

The sports book’s opening is contingent upon regulatory approval, but it is expected that the Division of Gaming Enforcement will 7BALL give the go ahead. The new offering by the casino will include an interactive lounge that will be home to a 12-foot video wall that will include 15 television screens.

According to the Press of Atlantic City…

For wagering, the new book will include six betting windows and four kiosks that will operate as self-serve windows.

Resorts has announced the new sports betting venue opening just one week after the casino revealed online and mobile services via their partnership with DraftKings. History was made last week in New Jersey, with DraftKings becoming the first to launch a mobile sports betting service in the state.

The mobile offering is Android and Apple friendly, with users being able to use their existing account of DraftKings to take part. With the land-based sports book launch, Resorts’ will be the 5th casino in Atlantic City to set up a land-based sports betting venue.

The first to do so was the Borgata Hotel & Casino on June 14th. Ocean Resort Casino soon followed on June 27th with the Wild Wild West Casino of Bally’s starting up at the end of July. Harrah’s Atlantic City opened a temporary location on August 1st.
