Software companies that provide technology for sports betting operators in the United States are ready for the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament known as March Madness. The three-week event is always a big revenue driver for sportsbooks, but in 2020, the series was canceled. This year, the event kicks off on March 18 and continues through April 5, offering sports fans plenty of opportunity for wagering.

In 2020, the NCAA was forced to cancel March Madness due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus was brand-new at the time and officials felt it would be a super spreader event. This year, the pandemic is still an issue, but officials say they are going to continue with the tournaments.

Last month, the NCAA reported that games would take place in Indiana, with most set to occur in Indianapolis. Historically, March Madness is a huge sports betting affair and is the second most popular event among sports bettors next to the Super Bowl.
